Waterhockey is a lesson in hoseline handling disguised as a game.
It requires a NEW 55 gallon drum (ours was donated by Madison Chemical), a 200 ft by 75 ft field, 8 cinderblocks or cones to act as the boundaries.
Two attack lines are stretched from a gated wye, which is supplied by an engine.
The gated wye acts as a safety device to allow better control of water flow and easier shutdown in case someone loses control.
The object is for one team to push the barrel, which is half full of water past the other team and into their goal.
This is a fun and easy exercise to hold. It is more educational and physically challenging than it appears.
We highly recommend it.
